Project-specific assessment
We consider the source website, data type, public accessibility, proposed access method, frequency, volume, jurisdiction, intended use, personal-data risk, intellectual-property risk and contractual or source-specific restrictions.
A technically possible project may still be rejected or reduced in scope.
Minimising source impact
Where practical, workflows are designed to avoid unnecessary requests, use suitable collection intervals, reuse stable information, limit repeated failures, monitor error conditions and reduce avoidable load.
Personal data
Projects involving personal data require additional review. Public visibility does not remove privacy obligations.
Clients must explain what data is required, why it is required, the lawful basis, retention period, recipients and how rights will be handled. GetParsing may decline such projects.
Copyright and protected content
Product prices, identifiers and other factual fields differ from creative content such as original descriptions, photographs, articles and reviews.
Clients are responsible for confirming that they have the rights and lawful basis required to store, reproduce, publish or otherwise use collected content.
Client responsibility
Clients remain responsible for intended use, legal compliance, required notices and permissions, data retention, security, rights-holder requests and independent legal advice when needed.
